Joy -  a gift of thankfulness

I've been reading  a great book recommended by Judy K., " a thousand gifts" by Ann Voskamp.  Its such a beautifully written book about how to live the full life, how to live and receive joy.  A lyrical and touching book where Voskamp shares her pain and sorrow and how she finds peace, joy and love by starting a list of a thousand gifts and  learning to live a thankful life.  Thankful for the little things, seeing God in the little things, being open to God's love shown in the little things,   and through that finding a miracle, the miracle of joy.  I highly recommend reading this book, you will be blessed as I am being, and maybe you too will start a list of a thousand gifts.

Gifts, what a great thing to think of in this time of Lent.  The greatest gift of all comes through Jesus , his life, death and resurrection, so that we might have life and to the full.  So that our joy may be complete.  So that we may live in communion with God, in thankfullness for all the gifts He gives.   Our study of Luke will soon be coming to an end, we are now reading the stories of the passion week which so fittingly coincides with Lent.  I feel I have grown in my knowledge of Jesus over these past two years and I hope you have too.  Not only a head knowledge but a growing knowledge of the reality of Christ , my King and as we walk these last few days with Jesus on the earth , through our Luke study, may we all have a deeper understanding, and love for the One who has given us everything.

Reminder:  No Coffee Break tomorrow due to March Break and we will be studying   Lesson 4 when we return on the 22nd.

Perks Day on March 29 :
We are excited to have Renee Scobel of  CRWRC:  (Christian Reformed World Relief Committee) come to share with us an  overview of their ministry  and specific ministries that help women such as  Child and Maternal Health programs in Malawi and Bangladesh. We hope many of you will come to hear what is happening around the world and perhaps how we can help.
